Across Sudan

The new nation of South Sudan dawned in 2011: we believe that God has placed Across for the task of helping to build South Sudan at this time. Our vision is for Christ-centred transformation among its communities, and equipping the Church – the Body of Christ - for holistic service. This vision starts from transformed individual lives, but expands to include a biblical mindset of development and discipleship among South Sudan communities.

Across’ current ministries testify to the impact of bringing the biblical vision and mindset of development to communities. We mobilize people into a variety of holistic responses to local needs. Across is involved in church and community development programs in the areas of education, health, livelihood, and media. Discipleship is our focus: teaching and training on biblical principles in every sector of (public) life. Additionally, through our disaster management unit, we are responding to humanitarian needs for refugee groups and internally displaced people.  This is a particular need at this time of South Sudan’s history.

Across is committed to play a vital role in the nation-building of South Sudan into the future, following God’s lead. We will continue to build a Partnership for Transformation with international and regional partners, as well as South Sudanese agents. We will focus on our mission to equip the Body of Christ through holistic ministries, seek to develop effective South-South alliances and to develop our advocacy agenda with the Church. Our target is to be a transformational resource organization, with momentum for discipling the nation of South Sudan.
